In July I visited the Met's newly renovated Michael C. Rockefeller Wing, housing the Oceania, Africa, and (indigenous) Americas collections. Reading the newly revised official history of Benin Bronzes still on display reminded me of the museum scene in Black Panther and how we need the villains of this world to win.
